Black Track
The artist Simone Kaltenegger limits herself in the Black Track Series to the color black on white canvas. For this she resorts to the medium of acrylic. As a painting tool she uses shower squeegees or a sponge. In her painting practice she works, while listening to techno music, unplanned and impulsive and thus brings deep existing emotions on the canvas. The paintings are often abstract figurative, but also reminiscent of Asian calligraphy. In the end, a work of art is created, similar to an inkblot, which offers the viewer scope for their own interpretations and feelings.
